Obsidian

                        Obsidian the Lava Rock

     

Obsidian is a rock that is from volcanos. This rock is actualy formed by lava when it cools down it hardens and makes it a solid. This rock is black with a little brown in it.

Calcite

 Calcite is very easy to cut through. You can do a lot of things with it, it might notbe the best thing to cut or make jewlery out of but it is a good start for beginers if you are a beginer at cutting rocks than I would suggest using this.

Geodes

     

This geode has amethyst in it, a dark purple gem with beautiful sparkles. It is hollow and if you are looking for a geode to break yourself you need to get the lightest one if you don't it will be full unlike this one it is very hollow inside.

 Most geodes are bad looking on the outside but they look good on the inside. If you look at the amethyst on the inside it is still growing.

Sand Roses

Sand roses are formed when lightning hits sand.  The sand hardens and becomes this it is very similar to sandstone except it has more shape than sandstone does. It is amazing how lightning and sand can make this beautiful stone. But lightning is so ugly and sand is so cool but ugly plus cool makes beautiful.
